A lovely thatched country pub & restaurant next to a village green surrounded by thatched cottages.
With a light modern touch inside, the Chequered Skipper serves a range of fresh, simple country dishes in the restaurant as well as a range of bar foods. Diners can eat in the separate bistro style area or outside on the picnic sets on the village green. Locally sourced quality food is served every lunch and evening of the year, booking is recommended, especially for the Sunday lunch traditional roast.
Bookings are being taken in the new Function Room area which holds up to 60 seated diners (150 with addition of a marquee). A wonderful location for Wedding Receptions, Family Celebrations, Group Events as well as Business Events and Corporate Functions.
